About Beth – Dachshunds

Beth grew up with long dogs that were family pets that worked over her dad’s ferrets. Her interest in dogs and their working abilities grew when she met Ben whilst doing the same countryside management and gamekeeping course at college.

After a few years of living with Ben, she decided to try a different breed and looked into buying her first Mini Smooth Dachshund.

Beth got her first Dachshund and was hooked on the spirited little hounds. A few years later a Standard Wire-haired Dachshund joined the family. And although brought as a companion for the mini smooth, she soon decided she would rather be working with the spaniels. She is often seen on various shoots with Ben and his team.

As Beth’s interest in Dachshunds grew she decided to try showing with her youngest Mini smooth dachshund. With good success in her initial year and then going on to qualify for Crufts 2024. Her enthusiasm and knowledge for the breed continues to grow and grow.
